Product highlights – 3D twin generation has never been easier
HD-map
generation
AVES Launcher generates a holistic HD-roadmap in ASAM OpenDRIVE standard for your complete area of interest. Our HD-maps are ready for simulation and include the full road network, road logic, junction connections, and elevation data values. No additional, cost-intense 3rd party licensed map data needed.
3D world
generation
AVES Launcher generates a highly detailed, object based, and fully editable 3D mesh model for your complete area of interest. Our 3D worlds include roads, buildings, vegetation, water bodies and road-side obejcts, optimized for real-time rendering performance and including material properties for sensor simulation.
Direct Unreal Engine export
AVES Launcher comes with our own AVES Bridge for Unreal plugin, which automatically installs during the general installation process. Our AVES Bridge plugin takes care of the seamless export of all generated areas into your running instance of Unreal Engine. It also enables you to edit e.g. building styles directly in Unreal with our own procedural building generator.

Building generator
Choose from predefined architectural styles or create and ingest own building modules based on our documented building grammar – Our procedural building generator does the rest – instantly and at scale.

Road import
Edit and adjust the generated HD-roadmap in your OpenDRIVE editor of choice and re-import the fine-tuned OpenDRIVE map and road geometries into the AVES Launcher to generate and align with the remaining 3D environment of your specific area. You can also import your own, existing OpenDRIVE files into AVES Launcher.

Building actor adjustments
Edit and fine-tune the placement of all buildings in the Unreal Engine editor. AVES Launcher generates all buildings as individual actors, so you can easily adjust, reposition, or even delete and replace them by your own landmark building models.

Landscape adjustments
Raise hills, dig valleys or reshape terrain to fit and fine-tune to your needs. AVES Launcher leverages the native Unreal landscape system which brings you full flexibility to edit the terrain elevation and landscape mesh directly in Unreal – all while preserving spatial logic and 3D world structure.

Georeferencing standards
Choose from different global coordinate systems (e.g. UTM, WGS84) when generating a project. AVES Launcher automatically aligns your scenes to your geo-projection of choice to maintain spatial consistency across tools and datasets.

PBR materials
Assign surface properties (roughness, reflectivity, physical type) and materials for all 3D objects in the scene. All generated assets from AVES Launcher come with a pre-defined material split and full flexibility to adjust, or to re-map materials with your own material database.

Custom geodata input
Integrate your existing geospatial data (optical ortho-imagery, digital elevation models) in case you already have high-resolution data for a certain area, or want to work on specific capturing dates. AVES Launcher adapts your data to its internal 3D tile grid and automatically generates your 3D digital twin.

From satellite data to simulation ready 3D maps
– how our platform works

Our platform turns raw earth observation data such as satellite or aerial imagery, and digital elevation models into vectorized maps and high-fidelity 3D environments. By leveraging our in-house technology the whole process runs automatically, end-to-end in the background, you do not need any coding, data, or 3D modeling skills.
Our AVES Reality core technology platform combines our proprietary geospatial AI stack with our proprietary procedural 3D mesh factory. All in-house, all in-product, no 3rd party tools or licenses needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which simulation engines does AVES Launcher support?
AVES Launcher supports Unreal Engine 5 out of the box. The AVES Bridge for Unreal plugin is currently available for UE 5.3 and UE 5.5. Via Unreal Engine our customers seamlessly integrate into their own simulation workflows based on tools such as CARLA, dSPACE, AV Simulation, Hexagon and many more.
We are actively working on expanding AVES Launcher integrations to many more major platforms and standard formats.
Need specific engines or data formats? Let us know.
Which geographic regions are covered?
AVES Launcher provides global baseline coverage using satellite and elevation data with moderate resolution – suitable for large-scale terrain generation and contextual simulation. For high-accuracy 3D environments, we offer high-resolution geodata in selected regions, these are currently:
- United States
- France
- parts of Germany (Bavaria, North-Rhine-Westphalia)
We’re continuously expanding our high-resolution data coverage, with new regions being added regularly based on user demand and strategic priorities.
Need high-res data for a specific region today? Let us know.
If you already have your own high-res data for your AoI, AVES Launcher also supports custom geodata import.
How accurate is the underlying geodata?
Our base data is sourced from high-resolution Earth observation providers and processed using our proprietary AI reconstruction. Accuracy depends on the region: In supported high-res areas the typical horizontal terrain elevation resolution ranges from 1-5 meters and optical imagery resolution ranges from 15-50 cm. The data is usually captured during the last 12-36 months on average which may vary across regions.
What if I don’t need the HD-roadmap, only the 3D environments – or the other way round?
The AVES Launcher always generates the 3D environment and HD-road data together to ensure perfect spatial alignment between geometry and road logics for simulation. However, your export options are fully modular: you can choose to export only the 3D world without the HD-roadmap layer and you can also choose to export the HD-roadmap in ASAM OpenDRIVE only, without any 3D model. Overall, billing is based on what you actually use – so if you only need the 3D environment, you only pay for that component. The HD-roadmap is only charged if you export it separately.
What is the maximum area size I can generate?
The maximum area depends on both the spatial extent and the object density – especially the number of buildings in urban zones. While we’ve seen customers successfully generate areas up to 80 km² in a single session, performance and feasibility can vary due to engine limitations (e.g. scene complexity and draw calls in Unreal Engine). A tile-streaming version of AVES Launcher to support even larger and more complex regions with seamless performance across massive AOIs is on our roadmap and actively evolving.
How quickly can I generate a 3D environment?
In most cases, generating a 3D environment with AVES Launcher takes just a few minutes. Actual performance depends on your local hardware and internet connection speed, especially when generating larger areas in high-resolution geodata supported regions. Overall, the entire process – from generating a selected area to having the full Unreal Engine model runs fully automated, so you can focus on simulation, not setup.
Do I need a background in GIS or 3D modeling to use the AVES Launcher?
No. The AVES Launcher is designed to be intuitive and workflow-friendly. Technical users benefit from advanced export and customization options, but basic setup and handling requires no GIS expertise. To support your onboarding, we provide a comprehensive video documentation library and how-to-manuals covering key workflows, settings, and integrations.
How is the AVES Launcher delivered?
The AVES Launcher is delivered as an on-premise software installation, ensuring full data control and security. It runs locally within your infrastructure and can be integrated into existing simulation pipelines or toolchains in your environment. Installation packages and deployment support are provided as part of your onboarding.
Is support available during onboarding or integration?
Yes. We offer onboarding packages, technical documentation, and dedicated support agreements with tailored assistance if you wish.
How is billing and pricing calculated for generated areas?
The AVES Launcher uses a credit-based billing model for generated areas. Credits are purchased in advance and will automatically be deducted based on what you use. You get notified during every generation or export step how much credits are required and what’s your current balance.
- 3D environments are billed per km², when you generate them
- HD-roadmaps are billed per km of road network, only when you export them
You can top up your credits at any time, and volume discounts are available for enterprise customers.
