Urban Monitoring
AVES Reality Digital Twins as the
Foundation for Urban Monitoring
AVES Reality turns raw geospatial data into accurate, georeferenced 3D digital twins of entire cities. Roads, buildings, intersections and key infrastructure are reconstructed with high fidelity and aligned to real-world coordinates. This gives city operators and solution providers a common spatial layer on which all monitoring activities can be planned, simulated and evaluated.
On top of this digital twin, camera networks and other sensors can be designed virtually before anything is installed in the field. Users can place virtual cameras, test different heights and angles, analyse coverage and blind spots, and optimise positions for traffic, safety or security use cases. Once systems are deployed, live data streams from CCTV, traffic sensors, drones or vehicles can be mapped back into the AVES Reality digital twin to create intuitive monitoring views that show events exactly where they happen in the city.
AVES Reality also supports more advanced urban monitoring scenarios. The same 3D city model can be connected to simulation and AI platforms, to generate synthetic data in realistic city layouts, train detection and analytics models, or run “what-if” scenarios for traffic, crowding or incident response. Regular updates of the digital twin enable change detection over time, helping cities and partners track construction, roadworks and infrastructure changes and keep their monitoring systems aligned with the real world.
